Why Become an AFA Member?

At AFA, we believe that building a stronger, more effective apprenticeship system requires leadership from across the apprenticeship field. By becoming a member, you join a growing national network committed to expanding and improving apprenticeship pathways that meet the needs of workers, employers, and communities.

Membership connects you to peers across the field—intermediaries, policymakers, researchers, funders, and practitioners—who are shaping the future of the U.S. apprenticeship system. It also ensures you stay informed, engaged, and supported as the field evolves.

Individual Membership

For Individuals who want to stay informed, connected, and engaged in the apprenticeship ecosystem.

$150 per year

Organizational Membership

For organizations whose staff would benefit to access to an AFA membership.

Benefits:

Individual membership for up to 5 staff

Cost: $750 per year

Patron Membership

For organizations looking to go above and beyond in supporting AFA's mission.

Benefits:

Memberships for all staff
Exclusive briefings with AFA leadership

$5,000 per year

Enrollment Timeline

Enrollment is currently live! All members, new and existing, will need to enroll in a paid membership to maintain access to member benefits.

Memberships will be valid for 12 months after your-sign up date.

Existing CAEL members receive a 50% discount on AFA individual memberships, or a 15% discount on organizational membership. AFA members receive a corresponding discount on CAEL membership. Contact membership@afamail.org for a discount code.

NASTAD members and other federal and state agency staff get free AFA membership for 2026. Contact membership@afamail.org from your organizational e-mail address to activate your membership.
