AFA submitted comments to the Department of Education on the rule making for Workforce Pell. AFA requested:

  • The inclusion of apprenticeship voices in the rule-making process
  • Consideration for how funding rates and length of program are determined
  • Special treatment for apprentice wages in making financial aid calculations
  • Consideration for how job placements, workplace learning, and program participation agreements are used in registered apprenticeship programs
