With this webinar, AFA innaurgates its new "Tools of the Trade" series designed to provide apprenticeship practitioners with exposure to tools and technologies that can support their work in a roundtable format. In this webinar, we invite you to join an engaging roundtable discussion with BuildEd, where apprenticeship and workforce leaders will explore a persistent gap across training systems. Hard skills, technical skills, and soft skills are all incredibly important, yet a critical void exists. The most talented welder, coder, or truck driver does not always get the job, keep the job, or advance. That is because success on the job is not determined by degrees or talent alone. It is determined by performance. This gap between training and real-world success has been the central focus of BuildEd’s work for nearly ten years. Working alongside PhDs and practitioners, BuildEd developed the Career Performance Method™, a structured system for becoming a high performing, high value-added employee no matter the starting point.
BuildEd has partnered with workforce boards, service providers, and select pre apprenticeship programs in more than 90 locations nationwide, supporting over 20,000 learners and consistently driving stronger outcomes in on-the-job performance, retention, and wage growth. Now, BuildEd is taking a bold step by launching a nonprofit to make this method, training, and coaching (essentially) public domain and accessible to all. We invite you to participate in this roundtable to explore how a performance focused approach may strengthen apprenticeship outcomes and help ensure that apprentices not only complete programs, but build durable, advancing careers.
