AFA Webinar: How States Are Driving the Future of Apprenticeships
Zoom
Wednesday 18 Dec 2024
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Event Information
On December 18th 12:00 EST, join Apprenticeships for America and state workforce leaders for our latest webinar on apprenticeship policy and practice in the states.
As President Trump prepares to take office, apprenticeships have emerged as not just a key part of federal workforce policy — but also a priority for states on both sides of the aisle. What can policymakers at the national, state, and local level learn from the successes – and challenges – that state leaders are already navigating?
We’ll kick off with a brief summary of AFA’s new report, How States are Driving the Expansion of Apprenticeships, before turning to a moderated panel discussion. We’re excited to welcome Nick Niedzwiadek of POLITICO as our moderator, joined by Adele Burnes, Deputy Chief of the California Division of Apprenticeship Standards, and Shonda R. Anderson, Director of Internship and Apprenticeship in Kansas.
Join us to learn more about how states are taking a leading role in shaping the future of apprenticeships through executive leadership, legislative efforts, and creative funding approaches.
